Animal Experience   

Amazing excursion. We were collected from the hotel by Ann-Marie and taken to the goats. You can select your own, we chose Pinto and he was a character from the off. The group was lovely and the weather amazing. Lunch was served in a hut and it was yum! Goats cheese, tomatoes, bread, olives and red wine / water - all divine! The walk is up steep hills which of course you walk back down again - good grip shoes are advised. Just over 14,000 steps when back at the farm. The goats were hilarious and had to be walked on their leads more than usual that day - they were being mischievous & wanted to munch not trot! Cute.. Ann-Marie cut yum fruit for us from plants & spoke about the areas visited enroute. We recommend this excursion. A few words about my experience with Fuerte Authentic Tours. Thanks you Kristina and Emilio!...For taking us, a group of 16 students (WWU University of Münster ), on a wonderful hike with your goats. It was awesome to see how much energy the goats have, climbing the beautiful cliffs of Fuerteventuras West coast near La Pared. Some Cactus fruits, traditional Gofio and other self-made snacks have been very delicious. Kristina and Emilio seem to know a lot about the island and its vegetation. Definitely a highlight, especially when the forecast tells you to do sth. else despite surfing etc.

Liebe Kristina, wir haben mit Dir und Deinen drei Ziegen einen unvergesslichen Tag verlebt. Am Meer entlang, an herrlichen Felsformationen vorbei, auf kleinen Pfaden, abseits aller Touristenströme zusammen mit Deiner Familie Mäh - einfach nur herrlich. Wir haben viel gelacht und haben viel von Dir gelernt. Stets kam deine Liebe zu Fuerte mit ihren Bewohnern bei uns an. Ob zu den Menschen, Pflanzen, Mineralien oder Tiere - mit Detailwissen hast Du unsere Fragen liebevoll und geduldig beantwortet. Dann hast Du noch alles für ein Picnic mitgenommen, das wir in einer kleinen Bucht -fast ganz für uns alleine- genossen haben. Auch gab es Zeiten einfach in Ruhe, in denen Jede/Jeder von uns die eigenen Gedanken und Bilder ganz in Ruhe ziehen lassen konnte. Dieser Tag hat uns die Insel anders sehen lassen. Falls wir irgendwann noch einmal nach Fuerte kommen sollten, werden wir uns wieder bei Dir melden. Wenn wir von unserem Urlaub erzählen, ist dieser Tag immer unser Highlight. This was a fantastic hike. The owner/guide Kristina is very knowledgeable about both her goats and the local environment, she also explained the ecological ethos she is working to. The hike was approx 5 miles with the goats on leads at time and rambling free at others. Most of the food was locally sourced and absolutely delicious. Well worth it!
